Do you have a variety of plans from which to choose?

Yes, we have many different plans available. Each may be modified to fit your preference.

May we use our own plans?

Yes, modifications may be necessary for plans purchased from catalogs.  Florida Building Codes must be adhered to and Southern & Traditional Homes is able to assist you with the appropriate changes.

Do you build only traditional style homes?

If you can dream it, we can build it.  Southern & Traditional Homes builds traditional, contemporary, and southern style homes.
                                                        
How long will it take to build our home?

Although some homes may require more time due to complexity, the majority of homes are completed within six months.  Taking a long time to build a home does not necessarily mean quality.  In fact, most times the opposite is true.  The quicker your home is protected from the elements the better.

How long does the design process take?
                                     
Typically four-to-six weeks is all that is needed to complete your plans.  Permitting currently takes two-to-four weeks.  Construction may begin in less than two months.

What is the average cost per-square-foot?

Prices vary depending on many factors from style to finish details.  An accurate take off is needed to assess the final cost.  We do not like to “guesstimate” a price.  Fairness with each customer is our main concern.

Are your subcontractors properly insured?

Proper insurance means protection for you.  Every subcontractor must carry the proper liability and workers’ compensation insurance.  We are one of few companies that carries an umbrella policy to cover anyone who may try to work uncovered.  This is a protection for you, the homeowner.

Do you build anything other than custom homes?

Yes, we build custom barns, garages, outbuildings, and fences.
